Bludgers And Broomsticks Event

Thanks to Warner Bros Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter, we were lucky enough to attend the Bludgers and Broomsticks event currently ongoing there!

This is an absolutely superb event where you can see in person some of the original Quidditch props from the movies which are likely to also appear in the Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them trilogy.

On display are things such as a Quaffle, Beater’s bat and the Quidditch crate from the Philosopher’s Stone movie which is hooked up to rattle in the same way!

In another section (by the Ministry of Magic) is a broomstick making section with two members of the team who physically crafted each broomstick, there to answer any questions. They even said they may be back working on Fantastic Beasts, depending on their boss and his choice between taking on Fantastic Beasts, or a Star Wars spin off, both of which he was offered.

Just past that, then, is a space sectioned off where you can see a board game created for Prisoner of Azkaban by MinaLima that was unfortunately cut from the movie called Snitch Snatcher.

The game is based on a Quidditch match at Hogwarts, but no rules were created for it (judging by the pieces – magic would have to be involved).

I don’t want to say too much in case of spoilers but for those of you thinking of attending, my advice would be to go! It is absolutely well worth the trip and will get you so excited for Fantastic Beasts, seeing these things in person that you’ll be seeing on the big screen in 2016!

The feature will be in the tour right up until Monday, September 1st and below are our photos from the event, just click:
