The wonderful people over at Light Up Jo’s Birthday are in their 4th year of organising a birthday charity project in J.K Rowling’s name in aid of her charity Lumos.
Three years in a row “Light Up Jo’s Birthday” has helped raise large sums of money for Lumos. Now in our forth year and J.K. Rowling big 50th birthday, we are aiming even bigger and more magical than ever!
Throughout the month of July, leading up to J.K. Rowling’s 50th birthday on July 31st, fans are being asked to come together to participate in the fourth annual “Light Up Jo’s Birthday” fundraising campaign. “Light Up Jo’s Birthday” has raised over £7500 for Lumos so far. Lumos, founded and chaired by J.K. Rowling, strives to end the institutionalization of children across the world and aims to put them back into family-based care.
Just incase giving back isn’t enough, we have secured amazing prizes for our annual contest this year which include a signed edition of “The Casual Vacancy”, a one night stay at The Georgian House Hotel‘s ‘Wizard Chambers’ in London, Game of Thrones books signed by author George RR Martin, a signed copy of the BBC adaption of “The Casual Vacancy” (signed by cast & crew), and so much more!
