With filming for the third installment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise about to begin any day now, it’s time we gathered up everything we know.
Very little has been released so far, but what we do know is the third film’s release date is set for November 12th 2021 and will feature at least the UK and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as locations.
The current officially confirmed cast list stands at:
- Eddie Redmayne – Newt Scamander
- Katherine Waterston – Porpentina Goldstein
- Alison Sudol – Queenie Goldstein
- Dan Fogler – Jacob Kowalski
- Jude Law – Albus Dumbledore
- Johnny Depp – Gellert Grindelwald
- Ezra Miller – Credence Barebone/Aurelius Dumbledore
- Callum Turner – Theseus Scamander
- Victoria Yeates – Bunty
- Jessica Williams – Eulalie Hicks
With Eulalie Hicks, a Charms Professor at Ilvermorny, expected to have a larger role.
Once again David Yates will return as director, with JK Rowling as screenwriter with help from Steve Kloves.
In relation to the big Dumbledore family revelation at the end of Crimes of Grindelwald, David Yates had this to say:
“..there’s a very intricate, lovely beginning of 3 that we discover a few things about the family”
