During a CineEurope presentation Deadline reports that WB showed a behind-the-scenes reel which included a quick glimpse of Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald, while also confirming the locations for Secrets of Dumbledore:
“The story picks up in the 1930’s, a little after the events of the previous film and will take place in such far-flung locales as Bhutan, Germany, the US, the UK and China. Evoked were new creatures, old favorites, more magic and even a peek back into Hogwarts.”

According to Attractions Magazine, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter is due to open in 2023 and is planned to include the Fantastic Beasts IP alongside Harry Potter.
The Harry Potter studio tour attraction, planned for the Japanese capital city Tokyo, will span a total of 322,000sq ft when it opens to the public in 2023.
Details of the exhibition space within the “sound stage” and “backlot” (outdoor filming area) zones have also been confirmed, with the area taking approximately half a day to walk through.
Elsewhere, the open space just outside the Studio Tour Tokyo’s entrance will be a landscaped area placing bespoke sculptures of mystical characters from the films, which will be accessible to local residents and visitors alike.
The Wizarding World Wand Installation officially opens in Leicester Square tonight in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone film. The magical installation will only be in the Square for two weeks, running from October 13th to the 25th, and will be illuminated from 6pm until 8.35pm every evening.
The wands were originally set up by St Paul’s Cathedral in 2018 as part of the lead up to the Crimes of Grindelwald film release. Images from that event and of the Fantastic Beasts wands can be seen in our gallery here.
Fantastic Beasts composer James Newton Howard let fans know via his instagram that recording for the Secrets of Dumbledore soundtrack is due to begin next week at Abbey Road Studios in London:
“Can’t wait to start recording my score for Fantastic Beasts 3 next week!”
