The Warner Bros Studio Tour in London has just put out a new display of five Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore costumes. They include Newt Scamander’s jungle costume, as seen in the trailer, Queenie Goldstein, Albus Dumbledore, Gellert Grindelwald, and a mysterious gold dress front and center with no nameplate:
First up, let’s take a closer look at Newt’s new clothes:
Some details include a tartan bow tie, checked pocket square, double row belt, and a little pocket on the sides of his trekking boots.
Next up we have Albus Dumbledore:
While similar to his costume from Crimes of Grindelwald, the colours of this outfit are much lighter – even his coat appears to be of a lighter material than the previous corduroy. His three-piece suit looks to be made out of wool, along with his lightly-coloured green tie. The shoes and hat are from The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Right next to Albus, we have Gellert Grindelwald:
Crimes of Grindelwald established the colour green for Grindelwald and his acolytes which we can see here again in a green three-piece suit, though an entirely different shade. The colour choices for this film appear to be more muted, almost camouflage colours – possibly to signify the war they’re on either side of.
Some details of his costume include this green herringbone patterned tweed suit, a beautiful floral tie, and a return to plain brown shoes, as opposed to the high boots worn in Crimes of Grindelwald.
Next up we have Queenie Goldstein:
While extremely similar to her Crimes of Grindelwald coat, it looks like Queenie may have altered it a little – the large lapels have been flattened down and the overall colour looks more muted. We also see she is now in a bright red dress, with matching scarf and pendant. If you look closely at the seams in the dress, they appear to be almost open, with a white slip showing through behind. Finally, we see Queenie is also wearing her Crimes of Grindelwald shoes (currently unsure if both Albus and Queenie are in fact still wearing the same shoes, or if there has been an error in putting up the new display).
Finally, we have this beautiful gold dress costume:
