To mark one month until the general release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, Warner Bros surprised fans today with the drop of a brand new, full to-the-brim feature.
The feature is chock-full of new scenes, cast and crew interviews, and even a couple behind-the-scenes shots:
We’ll break down the new scenes in another post, but for now, here are some of our first Secrets of Dumbledore quotes from the set of the film:
The wizarding world’s in turmoil. Grindelwald has risen and amassed a greater following, and is therefore a greater threat.
Jude Law
Dumbledore has recruited this group of wizards to fight against his nemesis.
Eddie Redmayne
There is a team of goodies and baddies and we are both actively working against each other.
Jessica Williams
Dumbledore recruits this mini army, if you like…
David Yates
This is a band of outsiders who come together to perform this mission. Every single one of them is an outsider and doesn’t really belong – but does belong as part of this group. The army that is created, a bit like Dumbledore’s Army of the Harry Potter films; Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Dean, but now Newt, Lally, Bunty, Kama, Theseus and Jacob.
David Heyman
This eccentric but incredibly gifted team of wizards who each bring a different skill set – they are set off on individual missions, that one hopes that Dumbledore has an overview, and a sense of.
Jude Law
Dumbledore’s got a real chequered history of being able to encourage people to do crazy things; but we love him for that.
David Yates
We are all trying to save the world while not knowing, essentially, how we’re going to do it. We are working through our own personal journeys to have faith in what Dumbledore’s plan is.
Jessica Williams
One of the things I love about these movies and the Potter films is they have thriller relevance, they have comedy, they have whimsy, and then they have pure spectacle.
Eddie Redmayne
There’s real magical cinematic experience. We’re exploring these characters and going deeper with them, and the universal themes of brotherhood, friendship, family, and, ultimately, hope.
Callum Turner
I always think to Order of the Phoenix – I don’t think we’ve seen magic done as well as that since so, here our aim is to top that.
